FarmeramaAID: Farms For Sale – Apply Now
Yes, I thought that would grab your attention!
Of course it is totally against every game rule known to mankind and Nublons to transfer ownership of a farm in Farmerama under any circumstances, and to do so for profit would render one liable to complete and life-long excommunication from any Bigpoint server, anywhere. The title of this post is, therefore, somewhat misleading.
However, it is necessary for me to reduce the amount of work I have to do on the farms. I have been operating five farms at, or close to, Level 80 plus trying to bring you all the latest game news on this site and it would be fair to say that my health has been suffering because of it.
I need to be able to devote more time to developing this site, keeping the “Honours Boards” up to date (I already have four which are overdue), and working towards official accreditation by Bigpoint. There is also such a thing as “Real Life” out there somewhere. Some of the farms are, therefore, reluctantly going to have to go. I am reducing from five down to two.
It would be nice to be able to sell them on (or even donate them to worthy players) but in the absence of any legal loophole making that possible some of them are going to have to go into retirement.
My top farm, Ducks, is the one which I use to keep everything up to scratch so that I can test out new features, get all the latest gimmicks, and keep bringing you meaningful comment. It is also the only one on which I have spent real money. On that basis it will stay operational.
Tulips has actually already been retired for some days now, and unfortunately (although I was hoping to take them all up to Level 80 first) Oats, Apes and Eggs are going to have to be retired too – with immediate effect.
Now you may think that 5 – 4 = 1, but this is not so. In preparation for today’s announcement I started up another farm last week, Trees, and it is progressing nicely at Level
28 29 30 as I am writing this. After all, I do still need a challenge.
The biggest regret of all is that in the 18 months that I’ve been playing this game I have built up a close and loyal band of neighbours, and I know many of them will be saddened by today’s news. To all of them I would say a very big “thank you for your company and neighbourliness”. Some of them have already joined me at Trees; if only there were room for everyone.
Bigpoint recently did me a favour with the new ability to maintain the status of the completed meadow when losing neighbours, so if I do from time to time decide to delve back in to any of the farms (as I may well do) at least I’ll still have a full farm, but some of my neighbours have all of my farms as neighbours of theirs. It is entirely up to you if you wish stay or leave but I will not be sending any more gifts from those farms, nor would I wish you to waste any by sending any to those farms. With that in mind I can supply you with a list of very good, reliable and friendly neighbours who may now have some spaces if you send me a message in-game or via the Contact page on this site.
I will still drop in on all the farms anyway from time to time to pick up and respond to any messages that are on there.
Thank you all for your support, both here and on the farms.
